Low Voltage Cable Technician

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair a variety of cable systems, including copper cabling for data, voice, Access Control and video applications
• Perform cable termination, splicing, and testing to ensure proper installation and functionality
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to cable systems, providing effective and timely solutions
• Accurately interpret technical documentation, such as blueprints, schematics, and installation manuals
• Collaborate with team members, project managers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction
• Adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies
• Participate in ongoing training sessions and stay current with the latest technological advancements in the field
• Provide excellent customer service, both in person and via remote support, while maintaining a professional demeanor

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical certifications preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in cable system installation, maintenance, and repair
• In-depth understanding of copper cabling systems, as well as related components and best practices
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 
• Working knowledge of network communications and IP addressing
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical skill and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment, with a strong commitment to collaboration
• Dedication to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all safety protocols
• Ability to operate hand and power tools
• Climb ladders to a height of approximately 32 feet, lifting and moving 90 pound ladders
• Willingness to travel as needed to client sites
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
